Leonarda Cianciulli
Describing her final victim, "She ended up in the pot, like the other two... her flesh was fat and white, when it had melted I added a bottle of cologne, and after a long time on the boil I was able to make some most acceptable creamy soap. I gave bars to neighbours and acquaintances. The cakes, too, were better: that woman was really sweet."

Just finished a book about her, the first important criminal study written on this case. Fascinating, incredible life... one of the less-known facts is she was obsessed by her mother, who on her deathbed cursed and threw a spell on her, predicting she would outlive all of her children... it seems that most of the crimes were committed because she was trying to break this evil curse.
Superstition brings bad luck. And homicide! I'd say something snarky about Christians but it really seems unnecessary.
Aaaaaaaaaanyway.
Are you posting about the book on your blog? I would love to hear more about it!
Just Christians? ;)
About posting on the book, I don't really know. I try to stay away from serial killers, to me it always seems a bit abused as a topic.
"Just Christians? ;)"
Haha! Touche. =D
Re: the book, I understand completely. =)
Oh, I'm sorry you probably won't be able to translate my last post, which I'm very proud of... :)
I had to upload it in PDF - it was too long to post - it's a lenghty interview with a 18yo girl who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. She has 27 different personalities!
Oh shoot, you're correct -- Google Translate can't seem to process the PDF. But I can think of at least one acquaintance who may be able to help me with it. I hope so because it sounds fascinating!!!
you can watch a film based on her crimes starring Shelley Winters (Black Journal (Gran Bollito) 1977) here http://horror-cult-classics.com/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=7989
